Hotspot Rotterdam | best gelezen mei

May is already over! On this first day of June, we look back at the best read articles of last month, so you won’t miss a thing.

1. 9 Lemons
On a sunny Friday afternoon, dressed in a jeans and a lilac bomber from the Official Trut (Trut is the Dutch word for bitch) collection, I was on my way to Kralingen. My outfit was not unnoticed on the way; during the ride in subway B towards Nesselande, the word written on my back was topic of conversation.

2. The favorites of.. Laure!
People make the city! We have already written a lot about Rotterdam, so it’s time we involve some of its people! Tips and inspiration are always welcome. This time: Laure!

3. Juffrouw van Zanten
Eat, drink, play, relax. Those are the words that Juffrouw van Zanten welcomed us with. And this is mostly aimed at parents. Although the place seems to focus on kids, this is definitely not the case. Juffrouw van Zanten is there for the adults, so they have all the time to eat, drink and enjoy while the kids are having fun.

4. Lizet van der Knaap: “Ik ben van jongs af aan zeer geïnteresseerd in dingen creëren met mijn handen.”
She belonged to the greatest talents of the Willem de Kooning Academie: Lizet van der Knaap. A young designer who transforms sustainable fabrics into artwork in her studio in Rotterdam. We became curious about her and her brand!

5. Frietboutique
The Witte de Withstraat got another boutique: Frietboutique. The hotspot where it’s all about Haute friture. Experience the taste of fresh fries and other guilty pleasures such as snacks, ice-cream and milkshakes.

6. Amy’s
You go on vacation, get inspired, work out a steady idea and say goodbye to your job. It may sound very simple – it certainly was not – but that’s what Iris did a few years ago. And before she knew it Amy was born; a freshly baked yogurt bar with 100% natural ingredients. Amy’s stands for Alles Met Yoghurt (Everything With Yogurt) and the last letters for ijs (ice cream), so we stopped by to taste some yogurt.
